Description

A wetsuit that is perfect in summer leaves a diver shivering by the third dive of a cold weekend, and buying a second, thicker suit is an expensive answer. A sleeveless neoprene vest under the existing suit adds warmth where it counts, around the chest and kidneys, without making the arms stiff. Scubatech's vest is 3 mm neoprene in black, cut close so it lies flat under a wetsuit. It fits a winter trip to an inland site where the water drops at depth, a multi-dive boat day where the body loses heat between dives, and a snorkel in warm water where it is worn on its own over swimwear for sun and chafe protection. It adds some buoyancy, so a little extra weight may be needed. Sizes run S to XL. It suits a diver who wants to extend the season of a wetsuit they already own.
