Scubatech Plastic Backpack

Description

Carrying a single cylinder to a pool or a shore entry is easier on a rigid frame than in the arms, and a moulded backpack gives straps and a cylinder band something solid to anchor to. This Scubatech plastic backpack, listed by the manufacturer as the Aquatec harness, is a moulded black frame with a carry grip at the top and slots along its length for webbing. A dive school can use it to rig simple cylinder carriers for students moving kit around a pool deck between sessions. A workshop can use it as a replacement frame when an older harness-style rig has a cracked backpack. The manufacturer does not publish dimensions or list any straps or bands as included, so webbing, buckles and a cylinder band will need to be added. It suits a school or workshop that wants a simple rigid frame for carrying or rigging a cylinder.
