Plastic Cam Buckle 50 mm

Description

A cam buckle that no longer bites leaves a cylinder slipping in its band, which is the last thing wanted on a giant stride. This Scubatech lever buckle is a plastic replacement for a 50 mm cylinder band, the standard width on most BCDs and backplate rigs. Threaded onto the band, the lever folds over to pull the webbing tight around a wetted cylinder and lock it in position. On a rental fleet, where bands are adjusted for different cylinders several times a day, a fresh buckle keeps the job quick. On a personal rig, it replaces a cracked buckle before a dive trip. Plastic cannot rust in salt water, although a stainless buckle is the heavier-duty choice for a rig that sees hard use, and the band itself is sold separately. It suits a diver or dive centre repairing a 50 mm cylinder band.
