Scubatech Plastic Hose Protector

Description

A kinked hose at the first or second stage is a slow, expensive failure, and a stiff sleeve at the fitting stops the bend before it starts. This Scubatech hose protector is a 95 mm plastic sleeve made of linked segments, so it flexes in a gentle curve instead of letting the hose fold sharply at the crimp. The standard version in green or yellow also marks hoses at a glance, for example yellow on the octopus and green on a nitrox regulator. A black version with inspection holes lets the hose and crimp be checked for bulges or corrosion without removing the sleeve, useful on a rental fleet that is inspected before each season. Fitting normally means taking the hose off the regulator, so it is a job for a technician. It suits a diver or workshop protecting and colour-coding regulator hoses.
