Rigid Cylinder Handle

Description

Lifting a full steel cylinder by the valve knob is awkward and hard on the wrist, whereas a proper handle on the neck gives a solid grip at the top of the cylinder. This Scubatech rigid handle is a moulded plastic grip that clamps around the cylinder neck below the valve, with a split clamp ring fastened by screws. The M and L sizes differ in grip shape and clamp size, and the manufacturer does not publish which neck diameters each one fits, so a check against the cylinder is worthwhile. At a dive centre's fill station, handles on every cylinder make moving a row of them quicker for staff. For a shore diver, it gives a firm grip when lifting a cylinder in and out of a car boot. It suits a diver or dive centre that handles cylinders often.
