SeaLife Sea Dragon 3000F COB Kit

Description

Most underwater photographs lose their colour before the shutter fires, because water takes red light out within the first few metres and a plain white light only lifts the blue. The SeaLife Sea Dragon 3000F COB Colour Boost Kit answers that with a 3000 lumen COB LED light head and a Colour Boost mode that blends red and white light, warming the output from 5000K to 3900K and lifting it to 3300 lumens so the reds come back into the frame. The beam is 120 degrees on land and 90 degrees underwater with no hotspots, and a colour rendering index of 90 or better keeps skin tones and reef colour true. One rotating dial sets brightness from 300 to 3000 lumens, and a press cycles through white, Colour Boost, red and SOS modes. The 7.4 V, 3400 mAh lithium-ion battery runs 60 minutes at full power and recharges in about 170 minutes. The head is anodised aluminium on a fibre-reinforced polycarbonate body with dual o-rings and a pressure release valve, rated to 100 metres. It comes as a complete kit rather than a bare light, with the tray, grip and carry case in the box. It suits a photographer or videographer building a first lit camera rig.
