Sea & Sea 5-Pin Dual Sync Cord/N

Description

Two strobes fill the shadow that one strobe leaves behind, and firing both from a housing with an electrical bulkhead needs a cord that splits. The Sea & Sea 5-pin Dual Sync Cord/N plugs into a Nikonos 5-pin socket on the housing and branches to two strobes, so both fire together on every frame without an optical link. That serves a DSLR housing with no built-in flash available to trigger optically, a film era Nikonos set-up still in use, and a two strobe rig where a wired connection is preferred to fibre. Coiled leads take up the slack as the arms fold in and stretch out again. Each strobe has to accept the Sync Cord/N connector; among current Sea & Sea strobes the YS-D3 DUO does. Spare o-rings for the cord are sold separately. It suits a photographer running two strobes from a 5-pin housing.
