Sea Arm 8 Ball Base for Accessory Shoe II

Description

The accessory shoe on top of a housing is wasted space until something can clamp to it, and it is the natural spot for a focus light or a short arm. The SA8 Ball Base for Accessory Shoe II slides into that shoe and presents a Sea Arm 8 ball, locked by a large nut that turns easily in gloves. Salt and corrosion tend to seize small fittings, so Sea & Sea added an access hole that reaches the nut inside the shaft, letting a stuck base be loosened and removed. That serves a focus light mounted over the port for macro, a video light carried on top of a stills rig, and a short arm holding a snoot. A hook plate is supplied so the base can be used on housings from other makers, along with a hex wrench. It is corrosion resistant anodised aluminium alloy with rubber, 67 x 35 x 35 mm and 55 g. It suits any housing owner who wants to use the accessory shoe.
