Sea & Sea Rear Port Cover

Description

Ports tend to get damaged on land rather than in the water, and the mount face is the part that has to stay perfect for the o-ring to seal. Sea & Sea rear port covers fit over the back of a port so the mount and the optics inside are protected in a kit bag, on a crowded camera table, or during a port change on a rolling deck. The two sizes fit two different port families and are not interchangeable. Size S is the slim cover made for Sea & Sea Compact Macro Ports, small enough to leave in place when a macro port lives in its case. Size L is the DX port rear cover, made for NX series ports other than the Compact Macro Port. Both are moulded ABS, and both carry a printed warning that they are not waterproof: the cover is for storage and transport only and comes off before the port goes on the housing. It suits an NX or DX housing owner carrying more than one port.
