Sea Arm 8 Ball Clamp II

Description

A clamp that lets an arm sag drifts the strobe off target, while one that only allows a little sideways travel limits how far the light can be swung. The SA8 Ball Clamp II joins two Sea Arm 8 balls and can be built two ways by reversing its clamp sections. Configuration A allows 10 degrees of sideways movement, half that of the original SA8 clamp, for a joint that holds firm; configuration B opens the range to 60 degrees while keeping the original clamp's stability. That covers a macro set-up where the strobe cannot be allowed to creep, a wide angle rig re-aimed for every subject, and a video light moved between positions on the same arm. The body is corrosion resistant aluminium alloy with an anodised finish, 66 x 71 x 26 mm and 97 g, closed with a long lever that turns easily in gloves. It suits any Sea Arm 8 rig needing a clamp at the grip, elbow or strobe.
