Description

A compact housing held on its own shakes in the frame and has nowhere to mount a light, which is why a tray tends to be the first purchase after the housing. The SA8 Camera Tray & Grip is the base of the Sea Arm 8 system: a camera base with a lengthened 30 mm tripod screw slot that takes most compact camera housings on the market, joined to an ergonomic grip. From there a Bracket Shoe or Fixed Ball Base takes a Ball Clamp and Double Ball Arm for a strobe or video light. That builds a first single strobe rig for a holiday compact, a steadier platform for video along a reef, and the foundation for a larger rig later. It is corrosion resistant anodised aluminium alloy with an EPDM rubber camera pad, 217 x 130 x 77 mm and 275 g. Sea & Sea list it as discontinued, and it is sold from remaining stock. It suits a compact housing owner starting an SA8 rig.
