Sea & Sea Zoom Gear for AF Nikkor 18-35mm

Description

A zoom lens behind a dome port is only a zoom if the housing can turn its ring; without the matching gear it stays at whatever focal length was set on the boat. This Sea & Sea gear fits the zoom ring of the Nikon AF Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5D ED and links it to the housing's zoom control. On one dive the lens can then go wide for a wreck section or a school of fish, and tighten in on a turtle or a diver portrait. It is built from corrosion resistant aluminium alloy. Sea & Sea specify it with the NX Fisheye Dome Port and SX Extension Ring, or with the NX Compact Dome Port and Extension Ring 40, on their DX series Nikon housings. The lens, port and ring are all sold separately. It fits only the D version of this lens and not the later AF-S 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5G ED, which takes a different gear. It suits a DX housing owner shooting this Nikkor zoom.
