Silicone Mask Strap

Description

Rubber and silicone are not the same thing, and on a mask strap the difference shows within a season: rubber hardens, cracks and eventually lets go, while silicone keeps its stretch far longer and is far kinder to skin and hair. This is Cressi's Group A silicone replacement strap, offered in clear or black. Straps are consumables and the sensible moment to replace one is at the first sign of hardening rather than after it splits, which almost always happens at the buckle slot and almost always at a dive site rather than at home. Using the genuine part means the width and slot geometry match the buckles, so the strap holds its adjustment instead of creeping through under load. It suits a diver replacing a perished mask strap.
