Silicone Strap for Crystal Masks

Description

Crystal-skirted masks are bought for their clarity, and pairing one with an ordinary black strap defeats half the point while leaving a mismatched grey band across the head. This is the silicone strap made for the Cressi crystal masks, finished in silver so it belongs with a transparent skirt rather than fighting it. Function comes before appearance though: the width and slot geometry are matched to those masks, so the strap holds its adjustment instead of creeping through the buckle under load, which is what generic straps do. Like every silicone strap it is a consumable, hardening with ultraviolet light and salt until it splits at the buckle slot, and the moment to replace it is when it stiffens rather than when it fails. It suits an owner of a Cressi crystal mask replacing a perished strap.
