Sioux Speargun

Description

A first speargun is bought before anybody knows what they will hunt or how often, which argues for something reliable and well made rather than specialised. The Sioux is exactly that, and its strengths are stated plainly by Cressi: good materials, reliability, easy firing and a favourable quality to price ratio. The barrel is light, non-deformable anticorodal aluminium, which is what keeps the shot straight, and the handgrip is angled for correct firing and quick, instinctive aiming, covered in rubbersoft for grip. The trigger is gentle and progressive rather than abrupt, which is the difference between a placed shot and a snatched one, and it carries a safety catch. A strong line ring comes out of the bottom of the handgrip, and at the front there are two line releasing devices, a dovetail trigger for the reel and an advanced spear-rail saddle. Three lengths are offered, 50, 60 and 75 cm, which covers close rock work through to more open ground. It suits a spearfisher starting out or wanting a dependable short gun.
