Snake Knife

Description

Sheathing a knife by feel, without taking eyes off what is happening, is harder than drawing one and is where blades get dropped. The Snake is designed to go in and out of its sheath without being looked at, using a quick release integrated into the handle rather than a separate catch to find. That same handle carries a rod holder and an integrated rod breaker, which turns it into a spearfishing tool rather than only a blade. The steel is chosen for a balance between edge retention and corrosion resistance, so it stays sharp across a season in salt rather than being softened to survive it. At 18.6 cm it is compact enough to mount where a hand can reach. Being able to stow it one-handed and quickly is the safety half of the argument. It suits a spearfisher who wants a knife they can sheathe without looking.
