Big Blue SNOOT38 Adapter for the 1200 Series

Description

Macro photography is as much about what is left dark as what is lit. A nudibranch on a busy reef disappears into the texture behind it under an ordinary beam, and cropping tighter only makes the background more obvious. A snoot narrows the light to a small controlled circle, lighting the subject and letting everything around it fall to black, which is separation that cannot be faked convincingly afterwards. This one fits the 1200 series torches, clamping over the front of the light, with the size of the lit circle set by how close the light is held rather than by any control. It turns a general purpose torch into macro lighting for a fraction of what dedicated equipment costs. Other snoots in the range cover the 1300 series and the larger video heads. It suits a macro photographer working with a 1200 series light.
