The SportDiver Underwater Housing takes the smartphone already in your pocket and turns it into a proper underwater camera, depth-rated to 130 feet (40 metres) without the bulk or cost of a dedicated system.

Weighing under 641 grams, the housing is nearly 20% lighter than SeaLife's larger SportDiver Ultra model, yet still holds a broad range of phones, from iPhone 11 through to iPhone 17 Pro and most "Plus"-sized Android models. Bluetooth Low Energy connects the housing to the free SportDiver app, unlocking manual control over zoom, exposure, focus, white balance, and video settings, functions that go well beyond what a phone's native camera app offers on its own.

Two features address the real anxiety of any smartphone housing: leaks and fogging. A dual alarm system pairs a vacuum pressure check with an internal moisture sensor, so a compromised seal gets flagged before you're in the water rather than after. A removable colour-correction filter handles the blue-green cast that ambient-light shots pick up at depth, restoring colour without needing a supplementary light source.

Physical controls matter more underwater than most people expect, and a large shutter lever plus rear buttons mean you're not hunting for a touchscreen icon through a glove. Triple 1/4-20 mounts let you add a tray, grip, or video light later, so this housing isn't a dead end if you want to build out a fuller rig down the line.
