Spurt Floating Mat

Description

Getting a nervous child to sit or lie on the water is a big step in a learn-to-swim programme, and a floating mat gives them a stable platform to do it. Spurt make two: a lily pad mat 60 mm thick and 1 m by 1 m, and a rectangular mat 30 mm thick and 1 m by 2 m, both from closed cell, expanded polyethylene foam and both weather and UV stable and non-toxic. Swimming teachers use them as a learn-to-swim tool, and at home they become a magic carpet in the pool.
