Summer Beach Towel

Description

A cotton towel packed damp on the second morning of a trip is still damp on the last, and it takes the rest of the bag down with it. Microfibre holds several times its own weight in water and then dries in a fraction of the time cotton needs, which is why it became the standard travel towel rather than an alternative to one. The weave is sand resistant as well, so grit sits on the surface and shakes off instead of working into a pile. At 90 by 180 cm it is long enough to lie on rather than perch on, and it still folds down small enough to travel in a day pack next to a mask. One towel then dries a diver after a shore entry, covers a hot boat seat and doubles as a picnic mat. It suits a dive trip, a beach day, or any bag with no room to spare.
