Surfscreen SPF50+

Description

Nobody reapplies sunscreen properly on a moving boat with wet hands, which is why four hours of water resistance does more work here than the number on the front. A face that goes on at the slipway is still protected at the end of a two-tank day. It is a physical sunscreen, zinc sitting on the skin reflecting light rather than absorbing it chemically, at 97 per cent natural physical filters with lanolin as a moisturiser, and free of PABA, oxybenzone, parabens and octocrylene. Oxybenzone is the one implicated in coral damage and banned outright at several dive destinations. Protection is broad spectrum across UVA and UVB. The tube is tinted to a skin tone, which cuts the chalk-white cast without removing it entirely, and 50 ml lasts an average user over twelve months. Apply twenty minutes before exposure and again after towelling. It is a face product rather than a whole-body one. It suits a diver spending a full day on a boat.
