Description

Air integration is the upgrade most divers put off, because buying the computer and the transmitter separately means facing the cost twice. This is the D5 with a Tank POD in one purchase, which is the cheaper route and removes the compatibility question at the same time. What it buys you is not the pressure reading, which an SPG already gives, but gas time: how long what is left will last at the depth and breathing rate you are at right now. That matters on a deep dive where consumption climbs, on a guided dive where a leader is watching a group, and on any dive where the plan turns on gas rather than time. The D5 is a 100 metre computer on Suunto Fused RGBM 2, with air, nitrox, gauge and freedive modes and up to three gases. It suits a diver ready to move from an SPG to real gas management. It pairs by proximity, so setup takes seconds.
