Description

The EON Steel is built to be dropped, stood on and dived for a decade. A brushed stainless bezel, Xensation glass and a composite case put it at 347 grams, which is heavy for a wrist computer and entirely the point: this is an instrument for people whose kit takes a beating. It suits three sorts of diving. Trimix work, on up to ten gases from 5 to 99 percent oxygen with helium to 95. Closed-circuit rebreather diving, with ten diluents, bailout and switchable setpoints. And commercial or expedition use where a failure is expensive and a computer has to keep working. The wide-angle colour screen flips for either wrist and takes four custom displays per mode, and Suunto Fused RGBM handles decompression. A protective boot and bungee adapter come in the box, so it rigs the way technical divers actually wear it. It suits a technical or rebreather diver who wants a computer that outlasts the diving.
