The Shearwater Swift Transmitter is a wireless tank-pressure transmitter that sends cylinder pressure data to a compatible dive computer in real time. It screws onto the HP port of a first stage regulator and, once paired, transmits continuously for the duration of the dive, removing the need for a hose or console gauge to monitor gas supply.

The unit uses an active collision-avoidance system, listening for other transmitters and only sending data when the channel is clear. This allows multiple divers using Swift transmitters to operate in proximity without signal interference; Shearwater specifies reliable operation for up to 20 units in range of each other. The transmitter is depth rated to 200m and runs on a single CR2 lithium battery, user-replaceable without tools, rated for approximately 300 dive hours or five years in storage. A double O-ring seal is fitted to reduce the risk of flooding during battery replacement. Installation is hand-tightened, with no wrenches or fitting tools required.

Compatibility extends to current-generation Shearwater air-integrated computers, including the Tern TX, Perdix AI, Perdix 2, Teric, Petrel 3, NERD 2, and Peregrine TX. The Swift is backward compatible with earlier Shearwater AI computers and, in many cases, with third-party computers that accept MH-8A transmitters, including specific models from Aqualung, Apeks, Aeris, Hollis, Oceanic, Sherwood, and Tusa. Compatibility depends on computer model and firmware version, so this should be confirmed before purchase. Wireless range is approximately 1 metre, which is standard for this transmitter category and is designed for monitoring the diver's own cylinder, not for tracking a buddy's gas supply. Each unit ships with the transmitter and a CR2 battery installed.
