Swift Transmitter GPS

Description

Dive logs record depth and time and almost never record where, so a memorable site becomes a name half remembered and a boat skipper's word. The Swift GPS fixes the position itself, capturing entry and exit coordinates and pushing them into Dive Shearwater as a point on a map. On a liveaboard week the whole trip plots out afterwards, sites named where the data allows. On a shore diving expedition an unnamed reef found by chance can be returned to years later. On a boat full of divers only one transmitter needs to be the GPS version, because any nearby air integrated Shearwater computer picks up the signal. It uses GPS, Galileo and BeiDou for around 4 metre accuracy, and otherwise behaves exactly like the standard Swift on gas. Positioning does not work underwater, only at the surface. It suits a diver who keeps a serious log, and it pairs with the Perdix 2, Petrel 3, Peregrine TX, Teric, Tern TX and NERD 2.
