SCUBAPRO Tank Handle

Description

Cylinders get swung by the handwheel, and that is how valves end up bent and backs end up strained. This clamps around the neck at the valve and gives something else to lift by, moving the load onto a contoured grip the hand actually fits, so a cylinder is carried at the side like a suitcase. A locking cam holds the handle up in the carrying position and it swings back flat against the cylinder when it is not wanted. It is moulded in tough nylon on a stainless steel pivot bolt, light and corrosion free. It fits cylinder necks up to 12 cm in circumference, measuring 14 cm wide by 8 cm high by 1.5 cm deep, in black. Smaller necks may want padding under the clamp for a secure grip. This is a surface carrying handle, not a rigging point: it is not rated for hoisting on a rope or for lifting under water. It suits a diver loading cylinders into a bakkie or onto a boat.
