Description

The 3000 series lights are larger and heavier than the compact torches the standard rail mounts are built for, and a bracket sized for a small light will let a heavy one creep out of aim under drag or, worse, work loose. This mount is made for that class of head, holding a light of the VTL4200P sort securely on the helmet where it points along the line of sight and leaves both hands free for a reel, a valve or a camera. Getting real output onto a helmet rather than into a hand is what makes a light this size worth carrying at all in an overhead environment, where a hand is rarely spare. It comes off without tools when the helmet is stripped down. That answers a cave dive, a wreck penetration and a survey. It suits a diver carrying a 3000 series light on a helmet.
