Technical Diving Helmet Head Light Mount

Description

Side rails hold lights beside the head, which works but throws the beam slightly off the eye line and puts the weight to one side. A central mount does neither. This bracket carries a head light on the front of the helmet, directly above the mask, so the beam runs along the line of sight with no offset at all and the mass sits where the neck carries it most comfortably over a long dive. That is the arrangement for work where the beam has to land exactly where the diver is looking, close in on a valve, a line or a slate, rather than lighting a general area. It is fitted alongside side-rail mounts rather than instead of them, which is how a three light helmet is built. That answers close work, a survey and any hands-free dive. It suits a diver carrying a head light centrally.
