Technical Diving Helmet Light Mount

Description

A helmet without a mount is protection and nothing more. This is the bracket that turns it into a lighting platform: it clamps to the side rail and holds a torch alongside the head, pointing where the diver is already looking, with both hands left free for a reel, a valve or a line. Head mounting also removes the aiming problem entirely, since the beam follows the eyes rather than the wrist. Two of them, one on each rail, is the usual technical arrangement, giving a primary and a backup both already aimed so a failure means switching rather than groping. The mount holds against the drag of a swimming diver and releases without tools when the helmet is stripped down. That answers a cave dive, a wreck penetration and any hands-free work. It suits a diver carrying a torch on a helmet rail.
