Aluminium Backplate 3mm

Description

A backplate that weighs less than a kilogram is easy to justify in a suitcase, and a colourful one is easy to spot on a crowded dive deck. Tecline's 3 mm aluminium standard backplate weighs 0.85 kg and measures 40 by 26 cm, the size Tecline recommend for divers over 170 cm. It comes in silver and black and in seven colours: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple and graphite, with the Tecline name cut through the plate. In tropical water with a thin wetsuit, the light plate avoids adding weight the diver does not need. On a liveaboard, a bright plate tells a buddy's rig from the next one at a glance. For cold water with a drysuit, a stainless plate is usually the better choice. Harness, wing and single tank adapter are sold separately. It suits a travelling diver who wants a light full-size plate, or one who wants a rig in a colour of their own.
