Description
Drysuit argon lives in a small cylinder, and small aluminium cylinders use a narrower neck thread than a standard scuba cylinder, so an ordinary valve will not fit. Tecline make this mono valve for their 0.85 litre aluminium argon cylinders, with an M18x1.5 cylinder thread, a 232 bar rating and Viton seals. A diver whose argon bottle valve has become stiff after seasons of cold inland dives can have it replaced without buying a new cylinder. A diver building an argon system from a bare 0.85 litre cylinder needs a valve for it before the argon regulator can go on. The same small cylinder is sometimes filled with air as a separate suit supply on a twinset. The valve fits cylinders with an M18x1.5 neck only, and fitting is work for a qualified cylinder technician. It suits a drysuit diver running a small argon or suit inflation cylinder.
