Backplate Soft Pad

Description

A bare metal plate against a rash vest or a thin summer wetsuit rubs on the spine, and it is uncomfortable to carry across a hot car park. Tecline's backplate soft pad covers a standard-shape plate with soft, breathable padding and adds a small pocket on the back for a surface marker buoy. For bareback or thin-suit diving in warm water, the pad sits between the diver and the metal. When the rig is carried to the water, the padding takes the hard edges off the plate. The SMB pocket keeps a buoy stowed behind the diver instead of clipped to the harness. Tecline sell the pad without bolts: eight short bolts fix it on its own, or two long and six short bolts when weight pockets share the same holes. It suits a diver who dives in thin suits and wants the plate padded.
