Breathing Resistance Test Unit

Description

How hard a second stage is to breathe from comes down to a few millibars of cracking effort, too small to judge reliably by taking a breath. Tecline sell this unit for testing the breathing resistance of a second stage after it has been serviced. It is a handheld digital differential manometer in a red case, connected by clear tubing to a mouthpiece adapter that fits over the second stage. A service technician finishing a rebuild can measure the effort and adjust until it sits in the maker's range. A workshop answering a customer's complaint of a hard-breathing regulator gets a number to work from rather than an opinion. A centre training its own technicians can use it to check trainees' work. Readings and adjustment ranges come from each regulator maker's service data. It suits a regulator service workshop or technician.
