Tecline Compact Argon First Stage

Description

An argon bottle only needs to feed a drysuit, so a full-size breathing first stage on it adds weight and cost for nothing. Tecline's compact first stage is a small piston design made for argon, sized to sit on a little cylinder strapped to a backplate. It comes in two versions. The integrated version has the over-pressure relief valve built in, with two LP ports and one HP port, so a small pressure gauge can be fitted as well. The external version has two LP ports and uses a separate over-pressure relief valve, which Tecline sell on its own. The relief valve is there because a creeping first stage would otherwise push rising pressure into the drysuit hose. That suits a diver rebuilding an old argon system around a new cylinder, a sidemount diver running argon from a small bottle, and a technical diver who wants a gauge on the argon. It is for inflation gas only, not breathing. It suits a drysuit diver who needs a dedicated argon regulator.
