Cookie Line Marker

Description

On a guideline in a cave or a wreck, a diver sometimes needs to mark a personal spot that nobody else will read as a route instruction, and that is the job of a cookie. Tecline's cookie is a round, non-directional marker 5.5 cm across, with a slot that lets it slip onto the line. On a cave training dive it marks the diver's own choice of exit at a junction or a jump. Inside a wreck it shows a teammate where the diver left the line, or flags a feature to come back to later in the dive. Because it carries no direction, it means something only to the diver who placed it, which is why cookies are used alongside arrows rather than instead of them. It is made of a durable polymer with chamfered, rounded edges that go on easily and do not chew the line. Each cookie is sold singly, in white, fluorescent yellow or a glow-in-the-dark version. It suits a cave or wreck diver building or restocking a personal marker kit.
