DIR Harness with 3mm Stainless Backplate

Description

The classic technical rig is a single length of webbing on a steel plate, with nothing to adjust underwater and nothing to break on a long dive. This Tecline set is that rig: a one-piece DIR harness in standard webbing with movable D-rings, a 3 mm stainless steel standard backplate of about 2 kg, and a crotch strap. The plate comes with the Tecline logo cut out or as a full plate without it. On a twinset for wreck or cave training, the steel plate and harness form the base that bands, a wing and a long hose are built around. On a single cylinder at a cold inland site, the plate carries part of the ballast. The webbing is cut and fitted to one diver, so the rig is personal rather than shared. Tecline recommend the 40 by 26 cm plate for divers over 170 cm. Tank bands, a wing and a single tank adapter complete the rig and are sold separately. It suits a diver starting technical training who wants the standard DIR setup.
