Tecline's Start Mono Set removes that guesswork for a first modular rig: a Donut 13 wing in the diver's choice of eight colours, an adjustable QR harness, a 3 mm stainless steel backplate and a transport bag. The QR harness uses two Delrin quick-release buckles, so it adjusts and opens like a jacket, with two bent D-rings, one straight D-ring and a crotch strap with two more. The Donut 13 gives 13 kg of lift for a single cylinder, with a soft single tank adapter, a dump valve on the left and a five-year warranty on bladder and valves. It fits a newly qualified diver buying a first rig, a holiday diver who wants the same kit on every trip, and a club that wants matching sets in different colours. Two tank bands with Delrin buckles come in the set. It suits a recreational diver taking the first step into modular kit.
