Donut 15 Ultra Light Travel Set

Description

Airline baggage limits turn a steel backplate into a luxury, and many travelling divers leave their own rig at home as a result. Tecline's Ultra Light Travel Set swaps the steel plate for a 3 mm aluminium one and pairs it with the black Donut 15 wing, a DIR harness, weight and trim pockets, and two tank bands. The wing has 15 kg of lift and a built-in single tank adapter, so no separate adapter plate goes in the bag. Its dirt-repellent 1000D nylon shell covers a Nylon 840 bladder, and the 40 cm inflator is led out on the left. It serves a fly-in reef week on hired aluminium cylinders, a liveaboard where kit is packed and unpacked twice, and a road trip where the rig is carried from car park to shore. Because the aluminium plate carries less weight than steel, more lead goes into the pockets. It suits a diver who travels to dive and wants their own wing system.
