Explorer Cave Reel

Description

A primary cave reel spends every dive being wound and unwound against rock, so the drum has to turn freely, the line must not slip off the side, and the lock has to stay put under tension. Tecline's cave reel uses a heavy-duty Delrin drum on a stainless steel axle, an aluminium handle and braided orange nylon line, locked with a stainless steel screw. The 115 m version weighs 0.8 kg and suits a primary reel for cavern and intro cave dives or a long wreck penetration. The 180 m version carries enough line for longer cave runs where the first tie-off is far from the entrance. The design keeps the line from slipping between drum and frame, which prevents tangles while winding, and the reel can be unwound one-handed. Each reel comes with a stainless steel double-ender. It suits a cave or wreck diver who wants a durable primary reel.
