Description

Laying a guideline on a wreck or finding the way back to an ascent line in poor visibility takes a reel that winds cleanly and locks when it has to. This Tecline reel combines a plastic body and drum with a large aluminium handle that works with gloves and a locking knob. The 66 m version carries white line and comes with a stainless steel double-ender, a size that suits wreck penetration and search patterns on a single dive. The 130 m version carries more line for longer guidelines, a deep DSMB deployment or an ice-diving safety line, and has a winding crank. Both have a simplified construction with few parts to service. The 130 m version is shown without a snap, so a double-ender may need to be added. It suits a diver moving into wreck, ice or light cave work who needs a primary reel with enough line for the site.
