H Backplate Soft Pad

Description

Diving in a thin wetsuit or with no suit at all puts the metal edges of a backplate straight onto the skin. Tecline's H soft pad covers the plate with soft, breathable padding cut to an H outline, which Tecline say fits both their standard-size plates and their H-shaped plates. A small pocket on the back takes a surface marker buoy, so it rides behind the diver rather than hanging from a D-ring. On a week of warm-water diving the pad also softens the plate on the walk to the water. The pad comes in three editions with the same shape and pocket: standard, Lady Edition and Travel Edition, each with its own printed graphics. It is sold without bolts, and needs six short bolts on its own or two long and four short when weight pockets share the holes. It suits a diver who wants padding and a buoy pocket on an H or standard plate.
