Tecline Lightjet Fins

Description

Classic rubber jet fins are the tool of choice for frog kicking along a wreck or a cave, but a pair can take a big bite out of a luggage allowance. Tecline's LightJet keeps the jet-fin shape, open heel and stainless steel spring straps, and moulds the blade from a thermoplastic vulcanisate made from recycled material that is itself fully recyclable. The coloured versions are lighter than water, which suits wetsuit diving and stops the legs dropping in a thin suit. On a dive holiday abroad a pair in size L weighs about 2.1 kg, which helps with an airline baggage limit. For a drysuit diver in a cold quarry, the graphite version is negatively buoyant, which helps counter floaty feet. Holes in the blades let the fins hang to dry or clip together for carrying. Sizes cover EU shoe sizes 36 to 47, worn with dive boots. It suits a diver who wants jet-fin handling in a fin that travels light.
