Description

Steel cylinders filled to 300 bar need a gauge whose scale runs past the fill pressure, or the needle sits hard against its stop. Tecline's Mini SPG has a 52 mm face with a scale to 400 bar and a maximum working pressure of 300 bar, so a full 300 bar twinset still reads comfortably below the end of the dial. On a technical rig with a short hose clipped to the harness, the small head stays neat and out of the way. On a recreational regulator used with 232 bar fills at a local dive shop, the fluorescent dial reads clearly in murky water. The body is brass with a nickel coating, the window is polycarbonate, and a relief valve protects the case against a sudden pressure rise. It is sold as a head only, so a high-pressure hose is bought separately and fitted by a technician. It suits a diver who wants a compact gauge rated for 300 bar fills.
