Mono Valve G5/8 232 bar

Description

A cylinder valve sees every fill and every dive, so a stiff handwheel or a weeping seal soon turns a simple kit check into a trip to the workshop. This Tecline mono valve is a plain single-outlet DIN valve rated to 232 bar, with a G5/8 outlet, an M25x2 cylinder thread and Viton seals throughout. A diver re-valving an older 12 litre steel cylinder for weekend reef dives gets a fresh valve without changing regulator. A pair of cylinders set up for sidemount can take one left-hand and one right-hand version, so each handwheel faces outwards where a gloved hand finds it. Viton is also the seal material commonly chosen for cylinders that see nitrox fills. The G5/8 outlet takes standard 232 bar and 300 bar DIN regulators. Fitting a valve is work for a qualified cylinder technician, who checks the thread and the test date first. It suits a diver replacing a worn valve or building a matched left and right pair.
