Peanut 11 Mini DIR Set with Stainless Backplate

Description

Small divers in cold water often need more lead than their frame can comfortably carry on a belt. This version of Tecline's Peanut 11 Mini DIR set answers that with an H-shaped stainless steel MINI backplate, which puts weight on the back where the cylinder sits, plus two soft weight pockets. The set is built for young and small divers of 130 to 150 cm, with the asymmetric Peanut 11 wing, a DIR MINI harness, backplate protection and two tank bands, at 2.80 kg complete. The MINI plate is about 40 percent smaller than a standard backplate. It works for a junior diving a local quarry in a thick wetsuit, a short adult who wants a steel plate in a smaller size, and a teenager training towards technical-style diving. The Peanut wing is shaped for a comfortable, stable position in the water. It suits a small diver who needs ballast on the plate as well as a compact DIR harness.
