Personal Filter 232 bar G5/8

Description

On a remote trip the air in the cylinders is only as good as the maintenance of the compressor that filled them, and that is rarely something a visiting diver can check. A personal filter adds a stage of filtration between the fill whip and the cylinder. This one screws into a DIN cylinder valve on the G5/8 thread, with 232 bar connections, and the gas passes through its filter tube on the way in. The manual cites EN 12021 for breathable air, and oxygen-compatible grease is included. It fits an expedition that fills from a portable compressor, a liveaboard or island centre where the compressor history is unknown, and a club that wants another filter stage on shared fills. It is for surface use only, must never be used with pure oxygen, and is an extra filter rather than a substitute for the compressor's own. The internal filter is checked every six months and the unit is serviced yearly at an authorised centre. It suits a travelling diver who wants a second line of filtration on fills.
