Proflex Inflator Hose

Description

On a busy boat deck, a kit box full of identical black hoses slows down a quick setup. The Tecline Proflex inflator hose comes in black in eleven lengths from 0.20 m to 1.00 m, with pink and white in selected lengths. Its double nylon braid makes it about 30% lighter than a traditional rubber hose and more flexible, with good resistance to puncture, abrasion and UV light. It runs from a first stage low pressure port to a standard quick coupling on a BCD or a drysuit. On a warm-water boat trip, a pink or white hose picks out one diver's kit at a glance. On a drysuit, the 1.00 m length makes the longer run to the chest valve. For a compact travel set, the 0.20 m to 0.35 m lengths keep a short feed neat against the wing. Fitting is best left to a qualified technician, who can check both connections for leaks. It suits a diver who wants a lighter inflator hose, or one that stands out in a shared kit box.
