Description

Adding warmth for a colder season usually means a thicker full suit, but a hooded vest over the existing one puts the extra neoprene over the chest, back and head instead. The Proterm 7 mm shorty vest puts 7 mm of plush-lined neoprene over the torso and head in one piece, with an attached hood and smooth-skin neoprene around the face to cut down on flushing. Worn over a Proterm 7 mm overall it builds a 14 mm core for long decompression stops in a cold reservoir or a deep winter dive at an inland site. Worn over a thinner full suit it lets a diver extend an existing wetsuit into colder months without buying a whole new system. Kevlar patches reinforce the wear points, and the YKK zip runs in a sheath with protection bands. It suits a diver who already owns a full suit and wants serious extra warmth across the core and head.
