QR Harness with 3mm Aluminium Backplate

Description

Divers coming from a jacket BCD are used to buckles that open, and a harness that has to be wriggled out of can feel like a step backwards. This Tecline set gives a light backplate rig with that familiar release: the fully adjustable QR harness with plastic quick-release buckles, on a 3 mm aluminium standard backplate of 0.85 kg, plus a crotch strap. On a tropical liveaboard, the rig comes off quickly at the swim platform and weighs little on the dive deck. For a diver who flies to most dives, the aluminium plate keeps the rig light in the suitcase. The harness adjusts at the shoulders and waist, so a spouse or buddy of a different size can borrow it for a dive. This is Tecline's full-size plate, 40 by 26 cm, for divers above 170 cm in height. In cold water with a drysuit, the stainless version adds useful weight. It suits a warm-water diver making the move from a jacket to a backplate.
