QR Weight Pocket

Description

Weight that cannot be dropped quickly is a concern for many divers moving from a jacket BCD with ditchable pockets to a backplate and wing. Tecline's QR weight pocket bolts to the backplate and carries its weight in an insert with a quick-release latch, so one firm pull frees the insert and the lead. The insert takes about 4 kg. The left pocket has a movable D-ring for a stage or accessory, and the right pocket is plain. For a diver used to integrated weights on a jacket, it keeps that familiar release on a wing. On a boat, the insert also lifts out as one piece to hand the lead up to the crew. Each pocket comes with a short fixing screw, and a long screw is needed where a soft pad shares the hole. Each side is priced and sold on its own. It suits a diver who wants ditchable weight pockets on a backplate rig.
